Mick Jagger is finding satisfaction with his kids and grandkids. The Rolling Stone, now 71, celebrated his birthday Saturday night with an intimate friends-and-family bash on the roof of SoHo’s James Hotel. “They got in from a warehouse and went upstairs very discreetly,” said one insider, who tells us the bash started about 9 p.m. Earlier in the day, Jagger had a celebratory lunch at a Midtown restaurant. We’re told Martin Scorsese, who is making an HBO special with Jagger, was one of few celebs on hand when a “Happy Birthday Mick” cake was brought out.
Jagger’s sons Lucas and James were there along with daughters Georgia May and Lizzy and several of his grandkids. “He looked very happy,” said one witness. Birthday boy Jagger has been celebrating another singer in recent days. He produced the new James Brown biopic, “Get on Up,” which opens nationwide on Friday.
FRANCO TURNS SELFIE-ISH
Surely there’s no one better for giving lessons in social media prowess than James Franco. While stopping by “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,” the “Palo Alto” star, who just finished his run in Broadway’s “Of Mice and Men,” showed Fallon all the ways that selfies can go wrong. These tutorials included the “Too Close Selfie” and the “Horrible High Angle Selfie.”
PARKER IS VEGAS’ BIG DEAL
It’s good to be on top. World champion, new dad and soon to be married San Antonio ball handler Tony Parker spent Saturday night celebrating at Hakkasan Las Vegas. According to a Sin City insider, the French superstar was on the winning end of “full VIP treatment,” as cocktails and Champagne flowed during his big boy’s night. Parker was also seen partying poolside at the Cosmopolitan Hotel over the weekend. He’ll soon wed fiancée and baby mama Axelle Francine.
TV WON’T BED CHRISSY AND JOHN
Don’t expect to see Chrissy Teigen and John Legend signing up for a reality show anytime soon. “It would just be me in bed watching ‘Real Housewives,’ ” Teigen told Confidenti@l. “That’s what I always say to people who present that idea to us. I’m like, ‘Okay, how much time do you want to spend in my bed watching “Housewives”?’ ”
EAT, DRINK AND BE MARRIED
Crazy, stupid in love … and hungry? English singer Cheryl Cole and her new hubby, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, were seen sharing a romantic dinner at London’s Sushisamba in Heron Tower on Sunday. The pair married earlier this month after three months of courting. According to one British spy, after dinner they joined another pair of semi-newlyweds. “They noticed singer Marvin Humes, formerly of the boy band JLS, and his wife, Rochelle, who were there celebrating their second anniversary, and the two couples joined tables for dessert,” we’re told.
AFFLECK ROLE HAS DEPTH
Maybe DC Comics should come up with a new superhero franchise for Ben Affleck called “Crackman.” The “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” star certainly looks like he was caught mid-audition while pumping gas into his red Chevrolet convertible in Brentwood, Calif. on Monday. Affleck then managed a smirk while posing with a fan for a selfie.
A CASE OF GOOD JEANS
Despite the fact that she’s starring in an ad for caffeinated energy drink company Hype Energy, Victoria’s Secret supermodel Candice Swanepoel looks awfully relaxed and peaceful in the campaign photos. The South African stunner goes topless, wearing just a pair of white jeans and an impressive case of bed head.
IRELAND ON RED ALERT
Following in mom’s fabulous footsteps, Ireland Baldwin, 18, is using her good looks and charm as the new face of tween favorite clothing line Rampage. The daughter of Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin shot scenes for the campaign while reclining on a leather couch in a red dress, dipping a strawberry into her mouth.
BLOOM WITH A VIEW
Despite photos showing Orlando Bloom getting cozy with actress Nina Dobrev while partying at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend, the 37-year-old “Lord of the Rings” actor had clearly moved on by Tuesday. Bloom enjoyed a day at the beach with three gorgeous women while vacationing on the Spanish island of Formentera, near Ibiza. They also chilled on a yacht, squeezing into tight quarters. Bloom didn’t appear to mind.
LEVIS GOES LIVE
Iconic Levi’s blue jeans have been worn well by everyone from Cindy Crawford to Rihanna. Now, the hundred-year-old brand is celebrating its Live in Levi’s Campaign with a free concert in Brooklyn. On Aug. 5, anyone wearing Levi’s denim can show up at Brooklyn Bridge Park for a concert featuring Haim and Sleigh Bells.
LEA’S NOT SMOKIN’ HOT
Lea Michele’s not had a career change, she’s just playing a smoking waitress to film scenes for “Sons of Anarchy,” in which she’s guest-starring. The “Glee” star plays Gertie, a truck-stop waitress who befriends Katey Sagal’s character.
TRIBUTE TO HOFFMAN
“Most Wanted Man” director Anton Corbijn hopes the circumstances surrounding Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death don’t affect the way people see his posthumous performance. “It’s just very unfortunate that people might look at the film in a different light because of what happened,” the filmmaker told us. Roadside Attractions studio exec Howard Cohen got a bit teary introducing at the screening, saying, “Philip Seymour Hoffman is magnificent,” then leaving the stage empty for nearly a minute before the lights went down and the projector rolled.
